Познакомившись со всеми шестью сериями мультфильма "Muzzy in Gondoland", мы с дочкой плавно перешли ко второй части "Muzzy comes back". Для представления героев я взяла лист картона, вырезала в нём окна и попросила Дашу раскрасить получившийся дворец. Ещё нам понадобился космический корабль для Маззи, который дочка вырезала и склеила сама.
Когда всё было готово, мы приступили к игре. Собрали всех наших картонных героев вместе и с помощью игрушки, играющей роль Нормана, представили их друг другу:
Muzzy: Now I’m in my spaceship, now I’m on my way. I’m going to a party. Hip hip, hip hooray! Hi! I’m Muzzy. Big Muzzy.
Bob: 150 trees there and 30 trees here… Oh, hello! I’m Bob.
Norman: Hello! I’m Norman. Welcome to Gondoland. That’s the palace. And there’s the King.
King: How do you do? I’m the King of Gondoland.
Norman: And there’s the Queen.
Queen: How do you do? I’m the Queen.
Norman: And their daughter, Princess Sylvia.
Sylvia: Hello!
Norman: And Sylvia’s husband Bob.
Мы снова воспользовались сделанным в прошлый раз компьютером, в который мы посадили Маззи, и разыграли в лицах их разговор с Бобом:
Muzzy: Hey, Bob! Are you there?
Bob: Who’s there?
Muzzy: It’s me, Muzzy.
Bob: Oh, hello, Muzzy! How are you?
Muzzy: I’m fine, thanks. What time is the party?
Bob: It’s at half past five this afternoon.
Muzzy: Oh, dear! Am I late?
Bob: No, you aren’t late, Muzzy. You’re early?
Muzzy: Early?
Bob: Yes. The party’s at half past five.
Muzzy: What time is it now? What’s the time in Gondoland?
Bob: It’s ten fifteen. Quarter past ten in the morning.
Muzzy: Oh, this clock here says quarter to three. And this one says half past four. Ah, this one says ten fifteen. Quarter past ten.
Bob: So you’re early.
Muzzy: Where’s Sylvia?
Bob: I don’t know. But we’ve got a surprise for you. A surprise.
Muzzy: What is it?
Bob: Aha! It’s a secret.
Muzzy: Tell me.
Bob: No, it’s a secret. Wait and see.
Muzzy: Oh, all right. See you at the party.
Тем временем в комнату Боба зашла Сильвия с дочкой на руках. Мы смогли воспроизвести их разговор с Бобом практически дословно:
Bob: Ah, there you are! It’s not a secret. It’s Amanda. Whose baby are you?
Sylvia: She’s ours, of course.
Bob: Yes, you’re our baby. And whose fingers are these?
Sylvia: They’re Amanda’s fingers.
Bob: And whose toes are these?
Sylvia: They’re Amanda’s toes. They’re hers.
Bob: And whose eyes are these?
Sylvia: They’re your eyes, Amanda. Yes, they’re yours. And this is your little nose. Yours.
How many fingers? How many toes?
How many eyes beside her nose?
Ten little fingers, ten little toes.
Two big brown eyes and a little pink nose. (2 times)
Bob: And how many teeth…? Ouch!
Sylvia: Naughty Amanda! Come on. Off we go.
Bob: Are we ready for the party?
Sylvia: Nearly. We’re nearly ready. Corvax is making a cake. A huge cake. An enormous cake.
А дальше мы отступили от сюжета. Видимо, Даша не смогла охватить своим детским умом, кто такой заключённый (помощник Корвакса) и почему он называет себя плохим. Она сама вызвалась помогать Корваксу готовить, принесла всю свою игрушечную посуду и продукты. Мы долго мешали суп в кастрюле и стряпали торт:
Corvax: Now, what does it say here? What we need… Flour. I need flour. Sugar, currants. Oh, I hate this job! Ah, how do you do? I’m Corvax. Eggs, butter… Oh, dear. I need help.
Policemen: Here you are, Corvax. He can help you. Be good or you back to prison.
Corvax: Who are you? What’s your name?
Timbo: I’m Timbo. Timbo the terrible. I’m bad.
Corvax: Bad, are you? Aha…
Timbo: I know you. You’re Corvax. You’re very bad.
Corvax: Yes. And I’m clever.
Timbo: What are you doing, Corvax?
Corvax: I’m making a cake. A huge cake. An enormous cake. Now, get some sugar, and some eggs, and some apples, and… I hate work! I hate work! And I hate Bob. And I hate Muzzy.
Timbo: Muzzy? Who’s Muzzy?
Corvax: Wait and see. The party is for Muzzy.
Timbo: What food does he like?
Corvax: Clocks.
Timbo: Clocks? Does he eat clocks?
Corvax: Yes, he does. Muzzy eats clocks. Now you get on with your work. I hate Muzzy. And I hate Bob. But I love Princess Sylvia.
Даша оказалась очень квалифицированным помощником и так увлеклась приготовлением еды, что мне с трудом удалось отвлечь её на встречу Маззи:
Bob: Hello, Muzzy! Welcome to Gondoland!
Muzzy: Hello, Bob! Your Majesty.
King: Glad to see you again, Muzzy.
Queen: Oh, Muzzy! It is nice to see you.
Muzzy: It’s a pleasure, your Majesty.
Sylvia: And here’s our secret.
Muzzy: Sylvia, a baby! What a nice surprise! Is it your baby?
Everyone: Yes, it’s ours.
Muzzy: Of course it’s theirs. And what is its… his… or her…
Sylvia: She’s a girl. Her name is Amanda.
Muzzy: Hello, Amanda! Ow! Does she often bite people?
Bob: Sometimes.
Sylvia: Oh, Bob, not often. She doesn’t often bite people.
King: She always bites me.
Sylvia: Now she’s biting me.
Мы вернулись на кухню:
Corvax: Now, what do we need? Do we need any salt? Ah, yes, we do. Is there any salt over there?
Timbo: Yes, there is. There is some in here. Do we need any pepper?
Corvax: No, we don’t. We don’t need any pepper.
Timbo: What about milk? Do we need any milk?
Corvax: Look at the book! Read it!
Timbo: But… I don’t know. Help.
Corvax: You can’t read.
Timbo: I know I can’t.
Corvax: Well, then. Get some plates.
Timbo: I can’t see any plates.
Corvax: There are some plates over there.
Timbo: No, there aren’t. There aren’t any.
Corvax: Yes, there are. Look! In front of you.
Timbo: Oh, those plates.
Но после встречи Маззи продолжение сцены пошло у нас по другому сюжету. Помощник Корвакса не бил тарелки - вместо этого Даша демонстрировала, что пластмассовые тарелки не бьются, даже если их бросить. Так что в нашем случае Корвакса было не за что ругать и король не приходил. Зато Норман отправился в магазин за недостающими продуктами для наших героев - а мы тем временем отработали употребление some, any, not any:
Norman: I want some rice. Have you got any rice?
Shopkeeper: I haven’t got any rice. But I’ve got some cheese. Do you want any cheese?
Norman: No, thank you. I don’t want any cheese. I want some apples. Have you got any apples?
Shopkeeper: I haven’t got any apples. But I’ve got some biscuits.
Norman: I don’t want any biscuits. Have you got any eggs?
Shopkeeper: Some eggs… No, I haven’t got any eggs. How about some flowers?
Norman: No, thank you. I don’t want any flowers. Good morning!
Для новой игры мы принесли часы. Удерживая минутную стрелку на двенадцати, я передвигала часовую по одному делению, проговаривая время. Затем показала Даше, что такое четверть и половина часа. После этого мы с переменным успехом смогли разыграть сцену с подарком от Нормана:
What time is it? It’s eight o’clock.
Woman: See you at ten o’clock.
Norman: Bye!
Woman: Don’t be late. …. Where is he?
Ten fifteen. Quarter past ten. Ten thirty. Half past ten. Ten forty-five. Quarter to eleven.
Woman: He’s late again! You’re late!
Norman: No, I’m not. I’m early. It’s quarter to ten.
Woman: It isn’t. It’s eleven o’clock.
Norman: Oh, dear. I am late. But I’ve got this for you.
Woman: Oh…
Если тема времени и часов ещё требует более детальной проработки, то употребление давно знакомых наречий аlways, usually, often, sometimes, never прошло на ура. Сначала мы разыграли разговор между Норманом и его женой:
Norman: I’m wearing trousers. I always wear trousers.
Woman: I’m wearing a skirt. I usually wear a skirt. But I sometimes wear trousers.
Norman: Yes, you do. And I never wear a skirt.
Woman: He wears trousers.
Norman: But he often takes them off. And the dog always brings them back.
Потом обсудили, что мы с Дашей обычно носим и вообще что мы делаем часто, что - редко и т.д. Дочка с нетерпением ждёт новой серии и совсем ничего не имеет против того, чтобы помочь Корваксу приготовить "сюрприз", который испортит королевскую вечеринку.
